Our Fall Results - Strip-Till & Twin-row Fit Well

During the year of 2007, we at Orthman continued a project we started in '06 to determine the effectiveness of Strip-Till and Twin-row corn farming. This year we added research in the Central Platte River Valley near Lexington, Nebraska with corn-on-corn and irrigated by pivot.
Please read the attached file from our findings. The Platte Valley farm had an abundance of rain this year, nearly 24 inches during the growing season which helped and also created some concerns for us and many other Nebraska farmers. Our work continues in 2008 and we look forward with eager anticipation.
